We often talk about the Christmas spirit, but sometimes I don’t think we see it as often as we speak about it. Ashley and Steve’s wedding embodied what we believe Christmas is in our hearts. It is being with those we love most important, sharing a meal together, laughing and telling stories, hugging someone you have not seen in ages, toasting to new love and old. This is what we cherish at Christmas. This is what their Adirondack Christmas wedding was filled with.

As primarily a wedding photographer I relish the times when I can squeeze in a family portrait session. Stacy was having a large family reunion at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid and loved the idea of having a family session at the lodge.

Blustery fall wedding held at the Harmony Golf Club in Port Kent NY. This wedding was rustic and beautiful in all the right ways!

“But I’m only getting my dress on…” I hear those words spoken so often when brides ask me if they should have me photograph “getting ready photos”. There is so much more going on the morning of your wedding than just getting your hair done, or putting your wedding dress on.

“Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised & today is short.”

This sweet little boy was a dream to photograph. Once he was happily feed and sleepy he slept for two straight hours. I love that mom wanted to do a special shoot with the football jersey for grandpa.

Waking up and knowing that I get to be part of one of the most wonderful days in someones life is truly amazing. I love every part of the wedding day from seeing the bride getting into her dress to the toasts at the reception. The hours before the ceremony are some of my favorite […]
