Some wedding designs make you stop and take everything in. This AWOL Stowe wedding editorial, hosted by Make Pretty Workshops, was one of those shoots. Natural, textural, and thoughtfully layered, every detail felt connected to the setting.
Tucked into the trees, AWOL Stowe provided the prettiest garden backdrop for these ethereal Vermont wedding photos. Curved wooden ceremony chairs sat among the greenery, while rich, textural florals brought warmth and color to the space.
The tablescape was one of my favorite parts of the day. Soft linens, warm-toned glassware, layered place settings, and flowers spilling naturally along the table created a setting that felt refined without being overly formal. The combination of earthy colors and delicate details worked beautifully against the surrounding trees and afternoon light.
The fashion brought another layer to the shoot. Clean, modern bridal silhouettes paired with classic tailoring created portraits that felt timeless without being traditional. Against a simple, warm backdrop, the focus stayed on beautiful light, thoughtful styling, and the connection between the couple.
What I loved most about this photoshoot was how every element worked together without feeling overdone. It was a reminder that wedding design doesn’t need to be extravagant to make an impression. A clear vision, beautiful materials, and a thoughtful team can create something truly memorable.
For couples planning a Vermont wedding, this editorial offers plenty of inspiration for bringing together modern fashion, organic florals, and an outdoor setting that feels connected to the surrounding landscape.
As a Vermont wedding photographer serving destination couples, the Adirondacks, and Upstate New York, I love photographing celebrations where the setting and the details work together so naturally. This afternoon at AWOL Stowe was a beautiful reminder that thoughtful design, beautiful light, and a sense of place can make all the difference.
