Weddings in upstate NY always have the chance for rain, but if you are getting married in the Adirondacks it is just something to be embraced. Weddings with a little bit of rain are always some of my favorites and Helen and Lee embraced it. The photos at the canoe club were some of my favorites of the day. With the soft light, calm waters and beautiful pastel colors it looks like something out of a dream.

With touches of gold, fur, and just a hint of the mountain spirit sprinkled in their winter wedding celebration was breathtaking.

Jodi and Nick’s wedding day was probably the hottest day the Adirondack Mountains saw throughout the whole summer. With temps hovering in the high 90’s all day these two took it all in stride and just kept smiling. I think we were all happy the wedding ceremony took place on the shores of Long Lake where a cool breeze blew over the water. Despite the heat though these two as well as their friends and family were a joy to photograph.

The day we shot this styled shoot there was a mist still hanging in the damp air of the Adirondacks that almost gave you a sense of time when the Great Camps were being built. I love the smell of the Adirondacks, it is earthy and rustic but at the same time there is a hushed elegance that floats in the air.
