He stood beside her, as they waited behind the thick wood door of the Whiteface Lodge. Inside the cheers of friends and family echoed through the lodge as their grandparents entered the reception room. The band announced their families, and then the last of their wedding party danced into the Whispering Pines to wild applause. They were next, his beautiful bride, his wife and best friend, by his side. “And now for their first appearance as Mr. and Mrs. Laverty…” echoed through the grand lodge, and they stepped through the doorway, hand-in-hand and side-by-side, as they would be for years to come.
The wedding was beautiful, from the first touches of makeup in the getting-ready suite to the cake cutting and last dips on the dance floor. Erica and Christian’s elegant blue and white wedding was the perfect summer palette that matched blue sky that appeared during their ceremony.
As their dearest friends and family looked on, Christian and Erica said their vows to one another at Erica’s family lake home in Saranac Lake. The wind tried to take Erica’s veil a few times, but she just kept smiling during the whole ceremony. After family photographs and wedding party photographs at the boathouse, we made the short drive to The Whiteface Lodge for a gorgeous summer evening reception.
