There are two things that never cease to amaze me; the stunning Adirondack mountains and how amazing and sweet my couples are. Cassandra reached out to me about photographing her wedding in the Hudson Valley this summer and I could not be more excited to be working with them. These two are so down to earth and fun, their wedding day is going to be a dream! Click the Image above to see more!

he fine river dust rose and fell with each step we took as we made our way down the path through the soft ferns along the bank or the river. The sun was streaming through the leaves as it sunk lower in the evening sky the night of their engagement session. I was so glad that Stevie and Logan were up for a small adventure before we headed to the second location we had planned for their engagement session in upstate NY.

When winter and spring collide it is pure magic in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. With soft warm breezes blowing through the valleys, and cool smooth ice still reflecting the blue skies above it is enough to take your breath away. This isn’t the beginning of their love story though…

Christina was a beautiful glowing mountain momma who was just all smiles standing next her love, with the mountains reaching up to the heavens behind them. We planned their session at the last minute while they were up for a vacation to the Adirondacks and Lake Placid to enjoy a little time away before the arrival of their baby girl. They were a joy to photograph, and as you can probably tell from their smiles and big laughs just a fun couple to spend an evening with!

He stood beside her, as they waited behind the thick wood door of The Whiteface Lodge. Inside the excited cheers of friends and family echoed through the room as their grandparents entered the reception. The band announced their families, and then the last of their wedding party danced into the Whispering Pines to wild applause. They were next, his beautiful bride, his wife and best friend, by his side. “And now for their first appearance as Mr. and Mrs. Laverty…” echoed through the grand lodge, and they stepped through the doorway, hand-in-hand and side-by-side, as they would be for years to come…

“Be strong, be fearless, be beautiful. And believe that anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you.” – I think Misty Copeland got it right when she said this and I think it describes this styled shoot so well!

It takes a brave couple to plan a winter wedding in the Adirondacks, especially when you plan to have the ceremony outside.
