Weddings in upstate NY always have the chance for rain, but if you are getting married in the Adirondacks it is just something to be embraced. Weddings with a little bit of rain are always some of my favorites and Helen and Lee embraced it. The photos at the canoe club were some of my favorites of the day. With the soft light, calm waters and beautiful pastel colors it looks like something out of a dream.

When you plan your Adirondack wedding, you hope for moments like the one Lindsay and Nathan had during their first dance. It was simply beautiful with nothing but green grass under their feet and blue skies above. Lake Placid has so many hidden gems and the South Meadow Farm is one of them!

When I asked Wendy and Jim what they envisioned for their wedding day at the Whiteface Lodge, “Casual, intimate, romantic and rustic” were the words they used to describe what they dreamed of for their wedding. I hope their wedding in the heart of the Adirondacks was everything that they hoped for and so much more.

The air was crisp and cool but the sun was shinning on the mountains that were glowing auburn in the setting sun. What a stunning view to be the backdrop during Jessica and Tony’s roof top ceremony on the boathouse deck. As they read their vows to one another the air was charged with emotion that I think took all our breaths away.
