Fall Wedding at The Golden Arrow Resort | Lake Placid Weddings

Lake Placid and Adirondack weddings are beautiful anytime of year, but for Jessica and Tony’s wedding on the shores of Mirror Lake it was truly breathtaking. The Adirondack mountains were showing all of their glory that gorgeous fall day.

I first met Jessica and Tony in Lake Placid after booking their wedding photography. Talking through their wedding day details and timeline, I knew they were going to have a beautiful wedding. The morning of their wedding as I walked into the Pines Room where Jessica was getting ready I knew I had been right. The room was brimming with friends and family and their love and support.

Jessica looked like an angel and her wedding dress was absolutely perfect for her. The year leading up to the wedding we had bonded over our love of board games and Harry Potter. When she opened her gift from Tony I think we all thought he did an amazing job! He not only surprised her with a beautiful set of earrings but the book Harry Potter – a History of Magic : )

During the outdoor ceremony, the air was crisp and cool but the sun was shinning on the mountains. They glowed a stunning auburn in the setting sun. What a stunning view to be the backdrop during Jessica and Tony’s roof top ceremony on the boathouse deck. As they read their vows to one another, the air was charged with emotion that I think took all our breaths away.

I could go on and on about their Adirondack wedding but the photographs tell their story better than I could ever could : ) Thank you Jessica, Tony, your family and friends for welcoming into your wedding day.

We planned a destination Adirondack wedding in Lake Placid from Baltimore, so we were really nervous and extra choosy when picking our vendors. Julia was 100% the perfect pick as our photographer. She is the absolute the sweetest and truly goes the extra mile to make you feel special on your wedding day, and leading up to it!

We received hand-written notes from Julia throughout the year leading up to our wedding. She was super communicative and answered all questions up front. My husband and I are both very shy, but Julia made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. It was actually enjoyable and fun to have all of our pictures taken!

She kept up with our timeline on the day of, and the photographs are AMAZING! What really warmed my heart was that I had Julia bring a watch to my groom as a gift. When he opened it, it was a bit too big. He thought he wouldn’t be able to wear it for the ceremony. Julia’s fiance, who joined to help her out the day of, took the watch and ran it to a jeweler nearby to have links taken out so he could wear it for our ceremony – that is truly, truly above and beyond!
