Lake Placid weddings are always a joy to photograph! Driving through the winding Cascade Lake’s pass the morning of Emily and Evan’s wedding, I knew we were in for a gorgeous day. The autumn sky was the deep blue of sapphire. In the mountains the breeze was exceptionally warm for an early fall day!
Emily and Evan had been planning their wedding day for months! I was so excited for them that the day was finally here! Simple, timeless, elegance are the first words that come to mind when describing their wedding day at the Whiteface Lodge. But even more than looks or style it is the feeling that those words encompassed throughout the day.
Emily and Evan just seemed to want to soak up every moment of their lake placid wedding; from getting ready in the suite with her girlfriends to the sweetest first look at the Canoe Club. Emily and Evan kept the day simply focused on what mattered most to them; which was being with their loved ones and friends while staying present in the moments that were happening.
One of the reasons I love the Whiteface Lodge is because my couples are able to really relax and enjoy their wedding day! They are able to spend time with their family and wedding party. Emily and Evan enjoyed time at the lake front beach and going for boat rides before the ceremony. They could play lawn games and enjoying drinks out on the terrace before dinner; the setting is perfect for a fun and relaxed day while also remaining elegant and timeless.
