Lindsay and Scott’s summer Adirondack wedding was the perfect mix of simple elegance with a hint of country charm. I loved that Lindsay and Scott planned their wedding day at the summer cabin she grew up spending summers at with her family. The cabin was nestled between the mountains and crystal steam that ran through the valley and was simply the best location for their wedding day.
Lindsay spent the morning getting ready at her aunt and uncle’s summer home just down the road. Perched on the top of a mountain overlooking the valley, Lindsay got ready looking out over the high peaks with her closet family and friends that morning. We could not have asked for a better location for pictures with her bridal party and flower girl as well!
With threats of rain in the forecast all week, their wedding day went off without a hitch with the rain staying away and beautiful soft light filtering through the canopy of pines during the ceremony. The forest had sense of magic to it when they said their vows to one another under the beautiful wooden arch.
It is always a privilege and an honor to photograph a couples wedding day and these two were just amazing. They seemed to care the most about their friends and family really having a wonderful time on their wedding day. But one part of their day really stood out to me… from wearing her mom’s favorite boots to the photographs displayed under the apple tree, Lindsay and Scott beautifully wove remembrances of her mom into their wedding in such a meaningful and touching way I knew Lindsay got her big heart from her mom and dad.
With the night ending in sparklers and fireworks it was a wedding to be remembered and I one that makes me smile every time I look back on their photographs!
