You know those couples that you meet and you just know they are going to be the ones winning the prize at a wedding 50 years from now because they have been married for decades and decades… Lauren and Jason are going to be that couple : )
I first met Lauren and Jason to photograph their engagement session and then photographed their beautiful wedding last fall. Fast forward to early spring when I received an email from Lauren with the exciting news that they were expecting their first child, to say I was thrilled for them is an understatement! And of course I would be honored to photograph their maternity session!
We choose to have their session on the shores of Lake Champlain on a warm summer evening, and as always Lauren looked radiant! I love that she choose to wear a little black dress, I thought it was such a striking contrast to the calm blue waters that night.
It was a beautiful night to be at Noblewood Park in Willsboro so there were TONS of boaters who had parked on the beach to enjoy the cool waters. It took some creativity to find the right angles and locations to photograph Lauren and Jason in order to make it look like they had the place to themselves, but I enjoyed the challenge. I LOVE how their photographs turned out! The elegant simplicity that the lake brings to their photographs was perfect and we were even able to capture my favorite “glowy” pictures as well!
Lauren and Jason, I am so so so happy for you both and the new adventure of being parents that you are embarking on together!
