We were standing under the shade of weeping willow tree waiting for his bride to make her way down the path. I could feel the anticipation in the warm summer air, hands fidgeting with his jacket as we waited, and then we heard the sound of tires approaching; it was almost time to see his bride, love, and best friend.
Shannon looked beautiful in her lace soft white wedding dress. It was the perfect mix of sweet and romantic. The florals and wedding bouquet designed by Jarita’s Floral Shop were perfect. The bright magenta mixed with peach and pink complimented the soft greens of the bridesmaids dresses.
Shannon and Matt’s ceremony and reception was held at the Hanah Mountain Resort in the Catskill Mountains of New York. The day was perfect for an outdoor wedding overlooking the mountains with a bright blue sky overhead. A breeze blew up through the valley as they said their vows with family and friends looking on.
After the ceremony we took a short drive to a historic train station just down the road for some fun wedding party photographs and portraits. It was such a neat location and I am so glad that they were up for taking the extra time to go there. I love the sweet portraits of Matt and Shannon enjoying their time together and Shannon just blew me away when I asked her stand in front of the train for quick “one last” portrait. It is one of my favorites of the day and we captured it in just a few minutes before we headed to the car!
