Real happiness is mostly felt by people who married their best friend.
The Adirondacks in autumn are stunning and one of the best ways to really appreciate the beauty is by camping. This was a favorite past time of Marissa and Jim while they were dating, so when they were planning their wedding they strived for that same simple feeling. The ceremony was an intimate occasion on the shores of Connery Pond overlooking Whiteface Mountain. Marissa hand painted the amazing Adirondack themed signs that led the way down the dirt road to the wedding ceremony. Family friends owned the property where Jim and his friends had set up the birch bark arch and rustic log benches for the ceremony. To top it all off the couple rode away in style on a bicycle built for two! Following the ceremony, Jim and Marissa’s family enjoyed the stunning view and fall colors while sipping hot cider warmed over the campfire.
Marisa looked stunning in a simple dress that fit her perfectly. Element Salon and Spa in Lake Placid did a such an elegant updo that was simple and classic. The day was perfect for photographs and we took advantage of the amazing fall colors around us. On the way to the Interlaken Inn in Lake Placid we stopped at the bridge for a few more quick photographs before the sun dipped behind the mountains.
