What do you do when it is literally 100 degrees on your wedding day?! Roll with it, just like Sarah and George did! Did we have to make adjustments, yes! But they were so doable like only being outside midday for shorter periods and having lots of water on hand. We did family photos inside, and guests had umbrellas to keep the sun off during the ceremony. We made it work, and their day was just fantastic from start to finish! You and your fiance are relaxed the night before your wedding. Your family enjoys spending time with loved ones they haven’t seen in ages while enjoying the evening breeze and cocktails. When you plan your Adirondack wedding, you hope for moments like the one Lindsay and Nathan had during their first dance. It was simply beautiful with nothing but green grass under their feet and blue skies above. Lake Placid has so many hidden gems and the South Meadow Farm is one of them!

Katie grew up spending summers with her family on Lake Champlain. The historic wedding venue, An Affair by the Lake is right across the Champlain Bridge and sits on a hill looking out onto Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. It is a stunning venue, perfect for their outdoor wedding celebrated with friends and family!

The Champlain Valley in upstate NY is one of the most beautiful areas of NY and it is always a joy to photograph weddings in the valley. Alicia and Adam’s wedding was no exception! Their photographs are some of my favorite from my 2018 season and ones that you don’t want to miss : )

We met in the parking lot of Noblewood Beach and made our way to down the gravel road to the parking area with the warm summer air hanging still around us. I was so glad that Lauren and Christian were up for an adventure and open to having the sand between their toes and maybe a few bug bites after their engagement session in upstate NY!

Those were the words used when Lindsay told me what she wanted the feel of her wedding day to be. If I could wish one thing for my brides it would be for their day to be filled to the brim with those feelings! Liz and Eric love spending long weekends in the Adirondacks hiking, and exploring the high peaks together, so it was only natural that they would decide to have their wedding day celebration in the Adirondacks!

He stood beside her, as they waited behind the thick wood door of The Whiteface Lodge. Inside the excited cheers of friends and family echoed through the room as their grandparents entered the reception. The band announced their families, and then the last of their wedding party danced into the Whispering Pines to wild applause. They were next, his beautiful bride, his wife and best friend, by his side. “And now for their first appearance as Mr. and Mrs. Laverty…” echoed through the grand lodge, and they stepped through the doorway, hand-in-hand and side-by-side, as they would be for years to come…
