We waited together in the hallway, Lauren doing one last look into the mirror, as we held our breaths. The excitement and hurriedness of the day slowed and softened into steadied breaths. Slowly we heard the door open at the end of the hallway, and her father, her cheerleader, her constant rock stepped out to see his daughter dressed in white. With tears in both there eyes she walked towards him, today was the day he was giving his daughter away…

A summer adirondack wedding at the Lake Placid Lodge overlooking the beautiful Lake Placid will make you dream of warm summer weddings!

The day we shot this styled shoot there was a mist still hanging in the damp air of the Adirondacks that almost gave you a sense of time when the Great Camps were being built. I love the smell of the Adirondacks, it is earthy and rustic but at the same time there is a hushed elegance that floats in the air.

“Be strong, be fearless, be beautiful. And believe that anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you.” – I think Misty Copeland got it right when she said this and I think it describes this styled shoot so well!

I met Danielle and David for the first time when they strolled into the Hotel VT lobby. Danielle was fresh from having her hair and makeup done, which looked beautiful. They had spent time in Burlington, VT on vacation in the past and knew that they wanted to return to elope in a place they enjoyed together. Hotel Vermont was the perfect location. I loved that they wanted to get ready together and how sweet David was putting Danielle’s shoes on for her! Theses two melted my heart.

I spoke with Brittany and Jon a couple weeks before their wedding day to check in with them and they told me they had their fingers crossed for snow. I was a little surprised by this because I thought they would be wishing for warm spring weather! I was a little concerned their dream might not come true given the unpredictable nature of March but I kept an eye on the weather and hoped the snow would last until their big day!
