A Fall Elopement at Hotel Vermont – Burlington Wedding Photographer

Vermont wedding in the fall photographed by Julia Rebecca Photography

With all that is happening, I wanted to feature one of my favorite elopements from the year on the blog. Elopements and small weddings are really wonderful and can be just as thoughtful, special and beautiful as a wedding with 220 guests. This my second wedding at the Hotel Vermont and I love having the opportunity to be a Burlington wedding photographer! Jen and Seth planned their destination wedding in Burlington Vermont from Salem, MA. They envisioned a day that was completely unique to them and was a celebration of their love for each other.

I met Jen and Seth in their room at the Hotel Vermont, which one of my favorite Burlington venues for elopements. The rooms are relaxing yet stylish and comfortable. It was really exciting to see all the details they had decided on. From Jen’s vibrant wedding bouquet to their custom made wedding bands and the jacket Jen had created for her wedding day. Wait until you see a photo of it. It’s amazing : ) She looked effortlessly beautiful and I am pretty sure I was going to be picking Seth up off the floor when he saw her.

The Hotel Vermont makes it so easy for their couples to have a stress-free elopement. They provide the officiant, recommend florist and Burlington wedding vendors to make the planning easy. The Hotel has a beautiful rooftop deck perfect for the ceremony at any time of year. With the sun setting over Lake Champlain, Jen and Seth said their vows to one another. These are some of my favorites because Seth’s expression was just one of complete joy.

After the wedding ceremony, we had time to stroll the streets of Burlington for their wedding portraits. We didn’t have a set destination in mind and I love the variety of photos we were able to capture around the city. I don’t think I can pick a favorite! We then made our way down to the waterfront to catch the last of the light overlooking Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains in the distance. Our last stop for a little reception celebration was at Foam Brewers! What a perfect way to end their session.
