The fine river dust rose and fell with each step we took as we made our way down the path through the soft ferns along the bank or the river. The sun was streaming through the leaves as it sunk lower in the evening sky the night of their engagement session. I was so glad that Stevie and Logan were up for a small adventure before we headed to the second location we had planned for their engagement session in upstate NY.
Stevana looked beautiful in the long floral dress that was just perfect for the beautiful spring engagement session we had planned. I loved that even with her long dress on she had no reservations about traipsing through the forest and fields for that perfect photograph!
Ferns curling up out of the damp earth in spring, is one are one of the first signs in the Adirondacks of upstate NY that spring is finally here to stay. Some of my favorite places in the Champlain Valley are where the ferns make a carpet of lush soft green on the forest floor and the rustling of birds is the only sound.
After the photographs but the stream, we then made our way to one of my favorite places in upstate NY, the golden field is dotted with evergreen trees and a white birch stand glows on the edge of the forest. I truly enjoy engagement session with my couples, it is a chance for us to get to know each other before their wedding day, laugh, capture some beautiful pictures and just have a fun time celebrating their engagement!
Stevana and Logan confessed that they were a little nervous about having their pictures taken, which is so sweet because they were AMAZING! I had such a hard time narrowing their images because these two are loved by the camera! Editing their photographs, I also noticed is that they are striking in black and white. So this blog post probably has a few more black and white images than some of my other engagement session posts : ) I just loved them to much not to share!
