We waited together in the hallway, Lauren doing one last look into the mirror, as we held our breaths. The excitement and rush of the day slowed and softened into steadied breaths. Slowly we heard the door open at the end of the hallway, and her father, her cheerleader, her constant rock stepped out to see his daughter dressed in white. With tears in both their eyes she walked towards him, today was the day he was giving his daughter away… 
Lauren and Jason were high school sweethearts that had stood side by side through the years and said “I-do” this September at St. Peter’s Church on a warm fall day. Lauren has a heart of gold that radiates from her and Jason matches her completely with his sense of humor and joyousness.
As guests made their way to the Rainbow Banquet Hall in Altona for Cocktail Hour we took advantage of the beautiful stone church and lighting outside of St. Peters. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress from Jocelynn’s Bridal.
I was so glad that Lauren and Jason asked me to photograph their engagement session for them. They were able to enjoy their wedding day that much more because they had experienced being in front of my camera before their big day. My favorite photographs from their wedding are of their first dance and from when we headed across the field for some beautiful sunset portraits as the sun dipped below the horizon.
