Diamond Mills NY Summer Wedding
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen nor even touched, but just felt in the heart. – Anne Sullivan
When Tori reached out to me two years ago, I knew immediately that I would love to capture her and Kyle’s wedding day. I had not seen Tori in years, but have fond memories of taking trips to New York City together with our moms when we were in grade school. It is pretty cool that Tori now teaches in the school that our mom’s taught together in when we were growing up. I loved seeing her mom and sister all these years later on her wedding day. Tori is just as kind and sweet as the day I met her and I am so glad that she found Kyle to go through life with.
We spent the morning at Tori’s parents home, where the girls had their hair and makeup done while exchanging stories. Glory Addie from Upstate Roots Salon did an amazing job with all of the girl’s updos. Tori’s loose curls were stunning with her lace and glitter dress and long veil. As many of you know… I love accessories! Tori’s statement necklace was amazing and her strappy gold heels were perfect. Tori has great style and she knocked it out of the park when it came to styling her wedding. Her bridesmaids looked fabulous in their short pink dresses, with flower print heals. I was in LOVE with her flowers by Douglas Koch Designs. The clutches that the girls had were so perfect for the feel of the day and something I had never seen before!
Prior to meeting up with the girls, I did a little scouting for locations in downtown Coxsackie for after the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church. I found a super cute row of old buildings and we had a great time taking photographs with the wedding party after the ceremony. The girls were troopers even when we had to pull the umbrellas out because of a little rain.
The reception was held at the beautiful Diamond Mills Hotel and Tavern in Saugerties, NY. Having grown up in Saugerties, I am so glad to see a wedding venue that matches the historic nature of the town and overlooks the bridge and waterfalls. Bethany, Diamond Mills in-house wedding planner, did a smashing job with organizing the reception and was a doll the whole night. Friends and family danced the night away after dinner to the live band, Grand Central Station. Thank you so much Tori, Kyle, your family and friends for welcoming me into your wedding day, and best wishes to you both!
