Working primarily as a wedding photographer, I relish the times when I can squeeze in a family portrait session. Stacy was having a large family reunion at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid and loved the idea of having a family session at the lodge. Originally we were going to take the photos in the early morning, but on the day of the session we woke up to a very chilly morning so we squeezed the session in before dinner and had perfect weather. My goal when photographing children is to capture their personality and the joy of being a child. We decided to go for a walk in the woods since the leaves were so beautiful that time of year and the light was wonderful. I am so glad Stacy wanted to bring their bikes, the little one was so excited about his bike!
