Bolton Valley Resort Wedding

Bride and groom photographed by Julia Rebecca Photography during their wedding in vermont

When thinking of a quintessential Autumn Vermont wedding I would image Rebecca and Greg’s wedding day, but half as beautiful because theirs was just stunning. Rebecca and Greg met in college and wanted to have their ceremony at St. Michael’s in Colchester which was so sweet. Since they live in Boston we weren’t able to meet in person before the wedding, but from the minute I walked into her getting ready room I knew it was going to be a great day.

“There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved.”

Rebecca and her bridesmaids looked stunning, and when Rebecca’s mom put her veil on I think we all teared up a little. Her beautiful gown was a Lillian West design purchased at Fiori Bridal in Vermont and her sweet puppy could not have been any cuter either! Photographing the ladies was a joy, and then the day got even better when we headed to the church. The love that these two families have for Rebecca and Greg was beautiful to witness. After the ceremony, we were able to take some great family portraits on the St. Michaels Campus.

The Reception!

After the ceremony, we headed over The Ponds at Bolton Valley which is a part of Essex Resort and Spa. I don’t think you could imagine a better setting for a fall wedding. From the orange and red leaves reflecting in the pond to the mountains rising in the distance, the setting was just perfect. We took advantage of the beautiful light while we had the chance and captured some beautiful portraits before the sunset behind the mountains.
We then went inside for dinner, toasts, and cake. I love toasts, and these were some of the best I have heard. After enjoying a wonderful dinner and maybe a few drinks the band had everyone dancing well into the night. If you have the chance to have a live band at your wedding I highly recommend it!

Thank you, Rebecca and Greg, for trusting me with your photographs and for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful wedding day!
