I believe that a blustery day can make for such beautiful images. It may have been a bit more than just blustery on Kael and Jason’s wedding day, but they were awesome and we captured some beautiful images together.
Taking photos on a wedding day is such a team effort. From bridesmaids helping get the brides accessories gathered for me, to an Aunt finding Uncle Jon who wandered to the bar during family portraits, to the bride and groom being up for any crazy idea I have in my head, it takes a village sometimes and I love that about weddings.

Kael and Jason had an awesome team of people on their wedding day and I am so thankful for that. Karl started the day by getting ready at her Grandmothers house with all of her close family. It was really lovely taking photos on the screened in back porch, that I imagine ever grandma’s house to have.
The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Harmony Golf Course in Port Kent, NY. It is a beautiful venue overlooking Lake Champlain and a gorgeous golf course. I love Harmony because they have these majestic pine trees and wildflower fields that are just perfect for pictures.
Kael planned to have an outdoor ceremony, but right when it was about to start the wind kicked up and the rain came, so we all just went inside and witnessed a heartfelt ceremony in the main room, which was just as pretty with the fall decorations and lanterns.
Kael’s amazing dress was through a great program called Brides Across America. Their mission is “making dreams come true and creating a once in a lifetime memory for our service men and women, and first responders”. I just loved her dress, and it was perfect for a windy day. Make sure to check out their cake topper as well, it even included their much-loved cat!
